I was cleaning both mice cages to seperate the males and femals of the
litter with the mom and dad. As I was putting the baby males back in a
house, one jumped from my hand and it took me a good half hour of tearing
apart my room and working up a sweat to get the little bugger. Leaping
better than a frog could! Never want to do that again!

Now, back to sexing the mice. I'm not 100% confident in my skills. I went
only by the spacing between the anus and genitals. The mice with the largest
spacing were deemed males and the smaller spacing females. I hope I get them
right and find homes before they re-populate if I goofed.

The father and male kids were put in a new, clean tank at the same time as
to think no one was in anyone elses territory. The father mouse seems to be
occassionally going toward a smaller kid. Hopefully it works itself out
shortly....

The father mouse was seriously attacking the kids. I had to seperate the mom
& all kids back in the one house and father alone in the other. Sigh... What
a fiasco I have on my hands, I can not have any more babies. Must find
homes! I think my sexing skills must have been off, I had 8 females and 4
males, odds are in the favor that I missed one :-/

No you can't reintroduce them as they will fight, almost certainly one or
more will get killed...

I thought if I cleaned the cages really well and introduced the father in to
a new cage with the babies at the same time he wouldn't feel his terretory
was being taken over. Didn't work out too well!
