Last night I made a very stupid mistake, and I am lucky no bun got
hurt. I cleaned Wendy & Cartman's cage and then went to put hay and
food in Hershey's cage. I left Wendy & Cartman out and I obviously
wasn't thinking and left Hershey's cage open. I left the room, went
to take a shower, did a few things in the kitchen and returned to a
living room full of fur. Cartman was sitting in his cage and Hershey
was sitting by his cage with Wendy about 10 inches from him. I called
my husband to come out and give me a hand checking for injuries. Most
of the fur was Hershey's although Cartman had some sticking out of his
butt. We noticed no injuries, except Cartman had a mark on his
stomach. Poor Hershey was scared to death. He ran into the covered
litter box after we checked him out and sat in there and shook. I am
so grateful no bun was seriously injured. I feel so terribly guilty.
And the entire time this episode took place, Nicholas was sound asleep
on the couch. He didn't even flinch when I dustbusted the fur up. >> Stay informed about: Stupid, stupid, stupid |

Heavens GF. I feel your pain. You ought to see Roger's butt where evil Rosie
did him some MAJOR damage. Neither the vet nor I caught it, but she
basically did some wicked hurt to the tissue - there was no blood - which
eventually died! Like 2" long!! Poor guy was hurt so badly he couldn't hop
and had a horrible fever and BOTH the doc and I missed it originally.
Stupid hoomins. I am SO glad Hershey wasn't hurt. Bet he WAS scared to
death! Thank goodness it wasn't everybun or God only knows what would have
happened!
Hug Hershey for me and snuggle him. Big bad Lt Cmdr Cartman probably took
serious umbrage at having Hershey in the same ROOM with his woman. I think
Cartman and Rosie are talking and baking pans against chocolate bunnies.

thank goodness there were no injuries. if you do find one that you missed,
just be sure to keep it very clean to prevent any abcess from forming.
we've all made those mistakes lisa. unfortunately, you've got a lot more to
do now with a toddler around the house -- it's bound to happen.
glad all is ok!

Unfortunately, there is no hope for that. Cartman left massive poops
over by Hershey's cage last night when he was out. I think the whole
incident just made him hate Hershey more :-(.

I'll have to keep a close eye on my boys Laurie. I remember you
mentioning Roger & Rosie's fight. I'm amazed Wendy was unscathed in
this whole thing, although she does tend to flirt with Hershey while
he's caged so I bet your right, Cartman was just looking out for his
property!
I'm just grateful no buns was hurt and I didn't have to pull apart
fighting bunnies like I did with Boo Boo & Hershey while I was 7
months pregnant. What a nightmare that was!

And boy that toddler keeps me busy!!!! Walking, talking and full of
energy! Boo Boo bit his finger on accident the other day when
Nicholas stuck his hands in the cage with animal crackers in his
mitts. Boo must have wanted to eat them. He got just a little cut.
Poor boy screamed! He got over it quick though.

Now you know how it is at my house! Generally, no two rabbits can be out
simultaneously without my immediate supervision (i.e. me stading directly over
them). :-( >> Stay informed about: Stupid, stupid, stupid |

Me too Michele!!! I need to be more careful. I felt terrible for
causing the fight. Poor Hershey, but it seems he's forgotten it
already, but Cartman has upped his poop production near Hershey's
cage.
