Any good tips on preventing this? Starlings and Cowbirds are eating as much
food as my terrier and sheep dog.

Feed the dogs IN the house?? Around here, this is actually a by-law due to
bear troubles .... which we are having quite a bit of this summer.

Give the dogs only what they will eat in a short time. I feed mine
twice a day but the eat all of the food in a very short time. If I left
food out for my beagle she would weigh a 100 lbs :-) She's real pig.

I tried feeding inside, but but I am horrible about remebering....:( I
haven't been able to train myself yet to remember to do it. It would not be
unusual for me to forget for a couple of days.

Bringing them inside is out of the question. Take 8 cats and add a hyper
jack russell and a mostly blind bordre collie that tries to herd the cats.
! It is not pretty!!!!! Neurotic cats are not fun, especially when you have
to give them tranqulizers./
