I just regained custody of my B&G macaw, who had been stolen. His tongue has
been split--not at the front, but the back 1/2. Can I get the thief for animal
cruelty? Would this be considered an act of cruelty?

That is really horrible! I would gladly split that mans tongue and
feed him chili peppers......what a moron.......How stupid can we allow
people to be?

I thougt I had heard it all - but apparently there's is no end to the
cruelty of man. I love animals - and my sweet amazon parrot is just a
wonder to me.

I can't believe the way some people are treating their pets. For me, a
pet is a family member and not some thing you can mould into what ever
you want it to be. It makes me so sad.....

Most books about parrots mention this as a common way of training a
parrot to talk in the 15th and 16th century, maybe even later.
