Unusual claim I know, but that's what a staff member at a UK cat
magazine told me.

So do you agree? Can you prove it?

I'm particularly interested because I've setup a competition to find
the most charismatic pets and entrants are welcome from anywhere in the
world. see www.webfluff.com for details - five winners, nice prizes,
small entrance fee with all profits going to the WWF. Comp closes March
07.

I'm particularly interested in getting entries from the less well known
pets.

Meanwhile, how does your spider show charisma? (centre of attention,
leadership?, persuasive ability, a compelling uniqueness)

Cheers
Andy

Andy is a junk mail source.

ObSpiders: Did everyone read about arboreal tarantulas having webguns
in their feet?

Irrespective of Alison, I'm still interested in hearing about charisma
in spiders. Ferret and Parrot owners have convinced me of their pet's
charisma. Are any spider owners willing to take up the batton for
arachnids? If you are feel free to enter at www.webfluff.com

Cheers
Andy

Let's have a discussion about spider charisma here in the newsgroup
rather than visiting what it is undoubtedly an ad-infested website.

Spiders have no charisma. While I enjoy watching and studying them,
they are barely sentient primitive creatures with only a few hardwired
behaviors. Parrots and ferrets are far, far more intelligent.

You're wrong. Not one advert, fun site, all profits to WWF, nice
prizes. This is a fun competition. I'm trying to get people to make
a case for their pet having charisma. It's possible that all entrants
would be dogs and cats else, and I'm keen to actually give other
animals a chance. If you check the site you'll see that part of
charisma is being the centre of attention, part of charisma is having
prescence. If they don't apply to spiders then I'm surprised.

I understand why you would reach such a conclusion - some of these news
groups are infested with utterly irrelevant money making attempts - but
this is not the case re: webfluff.com.

That's your opinion. I know some spider owners who disagree.

I suspect this is true, but intelligence is not a pre-requisite of
charisma.
