When they get real comfortable with you, and feel that you
are the herd leader. If you are present, and watching out
for them, or another rabbit is standing guard, they might
close their eyes for you. Might!
Jump took a year and a half to do this. Merlin trusts Jump
and did this in six months. Jump doesn't do this as often,
as he is the 'Boss' rabbit and must stand guard. Merlin
counts on him to watch. They take turns sleeping. their
deepest sleep appear to be around 1 am & 1 pm
Mostly, Jump sleeps with his eyes, open just a slit, with
his inner shields up. He looks knocked out.
The pictures in my holiday cards were taken with my friends
digital Olympus. After New Year when prices drop, I will
buy one and take some pictures of this for you. :)
