Maybe with all the sites Ive visited Ive ran across it already and have just
forgotten... but how much and when do rabbits sleep? Ive never seen Max
sleeping. His eyes are always open. When I scratch his bum he will turn
his head and close his eyes while he licks my hand, but thats about it.
Other than that Ive never seen him with his eyes closed. Im begining to
wonder if my rabbit ever sleeps.

If were up, hes up. And hes always been like this. It doesnt matter what
hour it is.

Rabbits are crepuscular. They're awake a lot, but most active in the
morning and evening. What you're seeing jives with what Toby does.

Some when between you going to bed and 4am when you are woken up by a bunny
trying to dig you out from under the covers lol

What do you do when you see an endangered animal eating an endangered plant?

Is there another word for synonym?

When they get real comfortable with you, and feel that you
are the herd leader. If you are present, and watching out
for them, or another rabbit is standing guard, they might
close their eyes for you. Might!

Jump took a year and a half to do this. Merlin trusts Jump
and did this in six months. Jump doesn't do this as often,
as he is the 'Boss' rabbit and must stand guard. Merlin
counts on him to watch. They take turns sleeping. their
deepest sleep appear to be around 1 am & 1 pm

Mostly, Jump sleeps with his eyes, open just a slit, with
his inner shields up. He looks knocked out.

The pictures in my holiday cards were taken with my friends
digital Olympus. After New Year when prices drop, I will
buy one and take some pictures of this for you. :)

crepuscular! I know that they have 2 sleeping periods and 2
awake periods. Is that what that means?

Herd leader -- I love it! I will aspire to be herd leader, too.

Can you then pick your own title? I'd like to be Head Rabbit. Wait,
better yet, Queen Of The Rabbits.

Most of the time, rabbits sleep with their eyes open. It is very rare that they
sleep with eyes closed.
