..........To the OP: both good suggestions. There are anti-nausea drugs
available. And you should definitely keep in touch with the vet if things
are not going better. They may want to X-ray or do ultrasound. It is
important that your dog doesn't get dehydrated too.
........Has your dog ever had vomiting episodes before?
.......When her mouth was swollen did you take her into the vet? I lived
out in the country at one point w/2 labs. I went for a walk one night and
when we got back I noticed that one of my dog's head was starting to swell.
I went to the emergency room because I didn't know what happened and was
worried about her breathing getting compromised. They thought she got into
some kind of ground insect nest. She stayed overnight and her head was only
down by half when I picked her up the next day. This was in the Midwest so
it wasn't fire ants. Do you have fire ants? Was this a stick she ate or a
treated piece of lumber?

...........I have the same question. When any animal hasn't been eating for
a while, it's important to start out with small frequent meals. Cook the
rice until it's mush - easier to digest and adds some water to the food.
.......I hope she's feeling better. There's an herbal preparation for kids
called Minty Ginger that is reported to do well with nausea in dogs.
