I have a ~13 year old boa that since about December has refused food and is
acting strangely. Sometimes tips his head straight up, and acts like his
perception of balance is off.

Last time he shed was shortly after he last ate - again roughly December.
When he shed, a small piece of his eye scale was left afterward and this
would obviously cloud his vision. Have tried rats since then and he has so
far refused. He has also developed sores at the many of the corners of his
belly scales.

Tonight was successful at force feeding with a large syringe that I added a
5/16 diameter aluminum tube too. Gave him about 10cc of baby food - lamb.

Anbody else had this issue?

Any advice appreciated.

Tom

i think it is a little early to start orce feeding him.some boas stop
eatting for up to 9 months at a time with no problems.as lng as he keeps
around the same weight he should be fine.you may also want to take him
to the vet he may not be eatting because he may be sick.
