RIP Libby

Last evening, Atty's distant cousin (another Borador Lab) passed away.
Libby was a very sweet yellow girl turned 15 on June 1. Her health had been
failing over the last year. When her owner (who is a vet in the Columbus
Ohio area) let her out after work, she didn't show up back on the deck with
the rest of the pack. It was a matter of minutes they were out. She saw
her floating face down in the pond, jumped in, got her, and did cpr, but it
was too late. This wonderful dog who loved duck hunting, died in the water
she loved.

I know none of you knew her, but she was special to me and I wanted to ask
you to give your lab an extra hug and a kiss just because you can. Atty's
off to the lake in upstate NY today and we'll be doing some extra dockdiving
for her cousin.

Godspeed, Angel Libby. The labby world will miss a very special girl.

Thanks for sharing your story. I am sending Libby and her owner good
thoughts. I know Libby died where she was most happy.
I do't have a Lab now, but I remember the pain w/ his loss. I do have
another girl from the shelter and she is a sweetie.
