Or, You Can't Keep a Good Dog Down

Queenie was spayed yesterday. I hate hate hate dropping animals off at the
vet and leaving them there (and of course surgery is always scary), and
when I picked her up she was the definition of "hang dog" -- I thought, oh
that's where that comes from.

She was extremely logy last night and so I let both dogs sleep in the
bedroom with me and the cat -- something they usually can't do, as Queenie
is still learning how to behave around the cat. This morning I woke up to
the almost-welcome sounds of Queenie tormenting the cat. So I threw her
out. She's of course still sleeping a lot, but clearly feeling much better,
and took several turns around the living room this morning, barking for the
sheer fun of it. Very cute.

Zoe and I are looking forward to the full return of our happy, sunny girl.

YOU'RE A IDIOT.

Perhaps you can tell malinda HOWE
to make her dogs friendly with each
other and not attack her kat?
