September 14,1996 by best friend was born. It wouldn't be until six
weeks later when I brought her home that I would realize that by life
would never be the same.
I found Buster Bunny at a yard sale. She was a “free to a good home”
bunny. I took her home knowing that bunnies could be litter trained and
that *some* people had them running free in their homes. It wasn’t till
Monday afternoon when I checked out every book about rabbits from the
library that I would realized that I had already screwed her up in the
three days that I had had her. ;-)
She became my constant companion. When I would go somewhere I would just
throw her in the car with me. She was always so well behaved that it
never was a problem.
During the last seven years she and I have been through so many things.
We have been through the birth of her of her daughter her grandson to
name a few. After every event I’m left with a sense of awe of how
wonderful she is. There truly is something regal about her behavior.
There are so many memories that I have about her, as you would with any
friend. Some of my favorites are: while having a bout of stomach flu
she spent the night with me on the floor on the bathroom. At bunfest’02
while Nona was holding her, Rotten ( daughter) and Cephas ( grandson)
didn’t take their eyes off Nona. I’m sure it was because they didn’t
trust that Nona would give the Queen back to them. They are very
protective of her.
My favorite memory of/with her and the one that best describes our
relationship is when I took her to a meeting I had with a friend of mine
at church. I brought BB with me, during the conversation my friend
commented how good BB was. She asked if bunnies were the perfect pet or
if BB just reflected the love that I had for her. That’s how I see our
relationship we each reflect the love that we have for each other.
I love you BB I hope you live to be grand old bunny. >> Stay informed about: the Queen turns 7 |

Aww, I miss that bunny!
BB, come to me!
I knew, however, that I would never pry Ms. Buster Bunny loose when I
suggested taking the lot--CC and RR, too--to Michele at that Bunfest.
I had fallen instantly in love with them.
Her reply?
"If you cut my chest open, you would see 'Buster Bunny' engraved on my
heart."
Awwwwww.
I knew then that she loved her bunnies as much as I love mine.
Michele's bunnies are *great* bunnies. RR & CC were indeed eyeing me
with trepidation (and, according to Michele, the killer instinct) as I
hugged their beautiful relative.
BB, RR, & CC do reflect the love and acceptance Michele has given them.
They are very "rabbity" rabbits.
Happy birthday, beautiful rabbit-woman! Long life to ye!
Nona
