Man, so many unrelated things to ask for purrs about..

Mom went in for a ultrasound on the tumor found on her ovary. It was
found to be the size of a grapefruit. She sees the surgeon Tuesday. We
could use purrs that this can be taken care of quickly and completely.
After breast cancer twice, cancer on her spine, and cancer in one of her
leg bones, she doesn't need this.

Many fires burning now in southern California. In the Palmdale fire, one
civilian has been killed and three firefighters have been badly injured.
Interstate 15 is closed though Cajon Pass (just northwest of my mom and
brother), and another fire is burning near Cal State San Bernardino,
moving south (towards mom's house). Electrical power is out in north San
Bernardino.

Nancy is dealing with a work situation that is turning bad. New
management is not supportive of the on-line part of the business (Nancy
is the Web Coordinator) and is talking about taking a lot of web
business away. It's looking like she's going to need to look for another
job, and we're hoping it might be closer to home than her current job
(60 miles commute each way).

And finally, I've been pretty much immobile for the last couple weeks
after screwing up my knee. My GP things I've torn a cartilege in my
knee; I see the ortho surgeon Monday afternoon, and I'm hoping he's
going to be able to restore my mobility quickly.

Dan,
Purrs x 4 and gentle headbutts on the way for you, Nancy, your mother
and anyone else in the path of the fires. Let us know how your mom
does.
