Success again. Did this during the daytime rather than nightime as the
two previous days.
I left the tape recorder on, no barking or crying, and that was just ME.
She didn't make any noise either. LOL
When I returned, she was sitting peacefully in the second bedroom. she
came out to greet me, but I hadn't yet talked to "the brush" so I didn't
greet her, went running for the brush, but when I did, she walked away,
so again, i spoke loudly to make sure she heard. What would the optimum
thing to have done been?
Tommorrow will be day 4. Should I consider her cured of SA after that
point? Is there ever a recurrence with your method? >> Stay informed about: Puppy Wizard-Report on day 3 of SA method |

LOL. Do you suggest I complete the 4th time today just to make sure
she's conditioned, or can I let it go at this point?
Your Doggy Do Right site is not up, correct? How can someone purchase
that device? I'm thinking of my girlfriend who has MS, has a very
nervous, anxious Bichon who barks in the house, yes when someone is
coming, but for other reasons that are unclear. She'll look at me, or
my friend and bark. My friend goes to take her out thinking that might
be what she wants, but if often isn't. Her bark is so piercingly shrill
its painful (I had to stick kleenex in my ears last night). My friend,
because of her cognitive decline, has a low frustration level, and is
embarrassed when her dog barks like that making her guests put kleenex
in their ears. I looked the barking situation up in your manual, and it
didn't seem to apply to what was happening. We just don't know what she
wants? A treat? To be picked up? Sometimes, it's one or the other of
these two things, but sometimes neither. Because my friend has a low
frustration level now, she screams and screams at the dog, "NO BARK"!!!
When I first met her about a year ago, I found her screaming to be
abusive and was torn what to do, but because I knew about your method at
that time, I shared with her some of the things you said, such as never
to yell, and yesterday when she pointed her finger in the dog's face and
loudly/very sternly said NO BARK, I asked her, "do you find it stops her
when you say No, or No Bark"?. She said no. She really didn't yell
anymore at least last evening. And to give her credit, she really has
tried not to yell at the dog so much, I've actually see a significant
reduction in that since last year.
Yet, this poor little, absolutely cute, funny, loaded with personality
Bichon is still a nervous wreck. Because I don't feel my friend can
consistnetly do your training methods due to her impairment, I was
thinking your little device might be perfect for her. And for all the
dog shelters.
How much are you charging these days for this thing? I recall reading
something in the $150 range. I would like to convince her to give it a
try but she would have to be ASSURED that she could return it, since
she's on a fixed income. I've read feedback from people who have used
it, some had immediate success, others it took a few days to a week,
another it took a month. It think if it took a month for her or anyone
else, they might be getting a little nervous that they made a mistake.
I'm working under the assumption that it works, so if I'm going to be
the crusader working So. Calif, how would I approach this? If you have
success with the box, is there a point where you no longer need to use
it for a specific dog? I was thinking of buying one and lending it
out, and if it worked, would ask to be reimbursed for it.
What do you think of all this?
