Great. So is Gatsby. They left him in the bathroom with the door
closed the first time they went to work (apparently he doesn't like
crates), and when SIL came in the afternoon to let him out, she could
hear him barking from far away. Wouldn't leave her side after she
opened the door, other than running off to check on Shazz. So, she
decided to give him the run of the house, and he has turned out to be
completely trustworthy in the house.

The first couple of days, when Shazz wanted to play with him badly, and
was jumping up and down in his face, he just tried to run away. ELB
took him to the dog park, but kept him on a leash, and said that he was
ecstatic to be there and playbowing to all the big dogs. Two days
later, the two dogs just can't get enough of each other, and ELB tells
me that Shazz spends a great deal of time with her assorted body parts
stuck inside his mouth. If the noises at the other end of the phone are
to be believed, the they are having an absolute blast. They also
routinely groom each other. He still doesn't know what to do with toys,
but picked up a rawhide and attempted to chew it a couple of days ago.

Gatsby doesn't know how to walk on a leash, and likes to take people's
hand into his mouth to express affection or to greet, but that appears
to be all the "problem" behavior he has. He jumps up to greet, but only
people he considers family, and scared the heck out of SIL's daughter,
but ELB is teaching him to only do that on command. He just sounds like
a lovely, lovely dog, and I am so glad that things are working out so
well for them.
