The breeder has given us pick of the litter for our new GSD puppy for our 6
yr old.
How do we make the best pick?
We are leaning towards a male.
Our home was robbed 3 weeks ago and my wife would like some added
protection.
Also some of the pups have dew claws, any concern?

Any suggestions.
TIA
Eric.

Find another breeder. A breeder that offers pick
of the litter is not a good sign, as a responsible
ethical breeder, almost always is keeping
pick of the litter for theirselves and breeding
program.

My suggestion is to consider going to GSD rescue.
There are many GSDs in rescue across the
nation that would probably suit your family very well.
And it would be best to find one that likes kids. Just
because you get a puppy that has been raised with
your 6 year old does not assure that the dog will
grow up liking kids. Just my $.02

HOWEDY gwen honey,

You shock and choke dogs. You're a liar and dog abuser
and a goddamned mental case.
