For topical treatment of Red Sores, Ingrid/Joann recommend
an application of Peroxide or Mercurochrome,
followed with a dab of Neosporin or Panalog.

Is the Peroxide basically the one you buy at the pharmacie?
What concentration should I look for on the bottle?
Can i use Polysporin instead of Neosporin?

many thanks... ...Kodiak

Yes

I don't remember, it is pretty low.

Don't know, check the active ingredients list. My guess is that
polysporin is a generic form of Neosporin (tm).

OTC H2O2 is usually 5%, you should dilute by half.
I've used full-strength on fish with no long term
effects, but I suspect it does sting.

Actually, I think Neosporin is just bacitracin; Polysporin
contains that plus some other unpronounceable string of consonants.
Either will do nicely. I think the ones to avoid are the ones
that have "...Plus" in the name, which indicates the presence
of a pain-killer.

HTH,
Gunther - still kickin' it in NoCal.
