Parvo? Do puppy shots stop it?

yes.

depends on what you mean by public. I take 8 week old puppies
everywhere, but I don't necessarily let their feet touch the ground
everywhere. I avoid places where it's likely that unknown vaccination
status dogs have defecated or tromped through (parks, busy sidewalks,
vet's offices). Puppy classes, where vaccination proof is required,
from 8 weeks on. Friends' and relatives' houses, same thing.
Otherwise, I like to wait for 3 rounds and rabies vaccination.
