Parrots meeting event?

Hi,

I got an invitation, to meet other parrot owners and to see their parrots
etc. (just like some people like to have dog-shows)

A well-known vet, will be there to tell us all about.

It would be lovely to be there, only, isn't it dangerous because of
parrot-diseases?
