Hi, please be blunt with me about this. I went to a local petstore a few weeks ago and fell in love with a tiny oranda that they had in there. Would I be overstocking my 55g with 5 fancy goldfish in there? It would give them 11g each. I am overfiltering, using a Fluval 404. Was more concerned ab..

I just recently lost one of my orandas. I had him for about 8 months. He was quite normal until about 3-4 days before he died. Symptoms were that he just sat on the bottom, then would kind of lean to the side. He would be like this in the morning, but would then begon to swim around reasona..

We've purchased a tank some 4 weeks ago and settled 2 Blue Orandas in after a week. They have been quite happy. Now one of them has a very fine white 'fluffy' stuff on his scales and sits at the bottom of the tank and does nothing. The other fish is active. We've changed the water regularly..

"Rescued" two orandas from LFS; nice sized fish kept in overcrowded conditions. They have a fungal infection which I hope to cure. One black, one multi-colored. Both improved immediately upon being placed in clean water (6 days ago). Using Maracyn for Fungus; CopperSafe for parasites. QUES..

I'm almost at my wit's end with my Oranda, Mac! Lets see, he's had ammonia poisoning, bacteria infection, siphon accident, all within the 3 months I've had him (a Petsmart fish...) and now I don't know what's going on again. I gave him 2 hydrogen peroxide dips last week, which seemed to perk him..

Hello... I've got two small-medium goldfish in a 25 gallon tank (ranchu and oranda, Aquaclear 200 filter, one apple snail that stays out the of the way, water heated to be in high 70s, tank set up for almost two years). The fish are usually fed sinking Hikari pellets, but de-shelled peas and "stan..

My girlfriend, wonderful though she is, got me an Oranda for my birthday, which I was woefully unprepared for.
