Wow, you sure went off on a rant. So, tell me, why aren't your cats
neutered and/or spayed? It is the sensible thing to do. Allowing outside
cats to breed unfettered is unconscionable.

Humans have the ability to avoid sexual contact and can, therefore, control
their own breeding habits; however, animals do not have this ability and are
destined to breed uncontrolled as each heat cycle comes along. As a
sensible pet owner, you should do the humane thing by protecting your cats
from that unnecessary (twice a year) event. Spaying/neutering only takes
one day out of their lives, yet it may add years--and certainly more
comfortable ones--to their longevity.

Studies show that a spayed female living outside will live on the average of
nine years longer than an unsprayed female; and a neutered male will live 8
years longer than his uncut colleague.

Take that into consideration before going off on a wild handle and
criticizing sensible cat owners for their pointed questions. Instead of
getting pissed, why not just answer the question: Why aren't your cats
neutered and/or spayed? If it is a matter of money, there are organizations
that exist for that very purpose. You can goggle them in your area.

Just how is your having kittens helping the human population? Not a logical
argument. But, if you like, volunteering at an animal shelter might mike a
difference. Humans CAN practice control, we domesticated cats and dogs, but
do nothing to keep the out of control population homed. There is a lot of
help for humans. Very little for animals. But I suspect you really know this
and just enjoy getting loud.
