My mouse, Chester, has been acting really odd lately. Earlier today he
let out a loud squeak and then started acting clumsy and disoriented.
He'd walk slowly around in his cage. It looked like he had a broken
leg or something. When I took the top and sides of his cage off to
dislodge him from underneath his wheel, he walked right out of the
base of his cage and almost fell off the desk! It was like he was
blind. What should I do?

Have you checked his eyes for obvious injuries etc?
For that matter have you checked him all over?
Are there any sharp objects in his cage( run your hands all over the mesh of
his cage and his toys/bowls/feeders/housing etc etc to feel for jagged bits)
which he may have caught himself on.
As far as him almost walking off the edge of the desk is concerned, i
wouldnt worry too much as most rodents can't see very far in front anyway.
Can he walk about ok?
Is he running on his wheel?
If there's nothing showing externally, like cuts or grazes etc, then it only
leaves internal trouble, but what could cause him to squeek in pain like
that i dont know.
Give him a thourough examination and check his coat and skin for parasites
etc and let us know if you find anything untoward.

classic signs of stroke. check for injuries of course, but if it's a stroke
there's not much you can do except keep him comfortable.

if he begins to have trouble eating or drinking you can feed and water him by
soaking some bread in water and holding it up to his mouth, twice a day.
