NBC'S DATELINE: "I Hate Rotten Dogs. I'll Choke You To Death,
Ya Piece Of Garbage!" dr. howard baker.

No, that wasn't dogman or even Elaine. That was our good dr. baker
administering to one of his recalcitrant patients.

"Contrived, questionable, contradictory, disengenuous," said the
judge of the good dr's. arguments in his own defense. They even
showed the veterinary expert witness demonstrate HOWE to
"correctly" punish a kat, using his own kat to demonstrate the
harmlessness of the technique.

The concept is identical to that of the alpha rollover with the
added advantage of the dog or kat being suspended above the
ground in the manner of a so called scruff shake.

He also demonstrated the technique of scruff shaking his kat,
in a gentle manner. Of course, being his own kat and used to
being picked up by the scruff of his neck takes no offense to
it because he knows he's not going to be hurt or punished,
as he is not being disciplined.

The doc says he don't do nuthin wrong, and that jerking the dog
on a pronged choke collar and slapping him around is typical
handling techniques used in the pet care industry and taught in
our universities and training clubs to show non communicative
animals your dominance...

I suggest it's not necessary to prove dominance to an animal.
Unless the biology guys are wrong, just look at your hand
for the opposable thumb and extrapolate on the idea to think of
outwitting the puppy dog rather than beat him.

There is no need to hurt dogs to train them.

dr james wilson, expert witness for the defense now says hitting
dogs is wrong, and he's now working to encourage vets to adopt
that approach.
