I have two female mice.
One of them appears to have conjunctivitis of one of her eyes.
It's really red all around it. Fluid appears to be clear and not red.
I tried to wipe her eye with sterile water and she didn't like it.
Gave me a quick nip or two to make sure I knew it too.
When she grooms herself, it looks like she tends to make it more irritated.
Sometimes the fluid crusts up and mats her eye which I have to fix.
It seems to be staying the same. Not getting better but not getting worse
either.
It must be extremely irritating to her but she seems to still like being
played with
and picked up and enjoys her occasional treats.
She is on a mouse lab block and occasional seed/fruit/nut mix.
She is on Aspen as my local PetsMart quit selling the Eco-Bedding I was
using.
Maybe she is allergic to Aspen. If so, I will order Eco-Bedding online if
need be.
In the meantime, how should I treat her eye?
The newsgroup for mice looks to be deserted is why I posted here as I know a
lot
of rat owners also have pet mice.
Thanks in advance!
