Hi,
Just in the past few days, my mouse "Pipeline" (ok, we got her in Valdez,
Alaska) has gone nuts. At night, she knocks the wheels in the cage over.
After watching her I discovered she was trying to get to the sticky tape I
use to keep them down. But then, if I just leave the wheels in there with
no tape, she knocks them over anyway.
Then, she started turning over the little wooden mouse cube that she and her
sisters sleep in. My other 4 girls were on the other side of the cage just
watching her go nuts!
During the day she sleeps with them and is relaxed and fine. What could be
going on? There's plenty to do in the cage - 2 wheels, a ladder and a play
log to hide in. Is she bored?

maybe. a cage is a small place to spend a life. maybe you can take her out on
a grass yard for a while. my mice always loved planter boxes and plants,
digging around happily for hours at a time.

Midnight is easy to get back in the cage so I let her out in my room but I
always have to put a blanket under the door so she does not escape.
Remember if you plan on letting Pipeline out in a room, check there are no
holes in the floor of walls and keep things like wires out of reach.

It sounds to me like she's just being exuberant. Lots of my mice enjoy
tipping things over, throwing things around, etc. I realize that it's
inconvenient when she tips the wheel and house over (not least for the other
mice!) but aside from that I don't think it means anything is wrong with her.
You could try putting a few "new" toys in her cage to distract her. Mice
seem to enjoy novelty; I guess it's their curious nature.
