Anyone out there have any unique ideas for cages with activities for
the mice? I have african pygmy mice and they just look bored. Just a
wheel. Anyone have any neat cages that you can share with ideas?

Toilet paper tubes. Cardboard egg cartons. Food stuck to really
annoying and frustrating objects or locations. Regularly throw out
their nest and force them to build a new one from scratch out of
newspapers.

But most of all: pocket time!

Plantpots filled with sand and soil, bury sunflower seeds in them.
Any papaer or cardboard tubes, or even plastic ones, paper eggboxes, things
to hide in, climb over, run through, chew up, the list is endless...I've
used small branches of wood to good effect, also a piece of flat wood about
5 inches high and the full width of their cage - they soon learn to clamber
over it when food and water are on the opposite side to the nestbox!
