These girls are from Petco, and I've gotten other mice there and I guess I
was lucky because those mice seemed pretty tame. They are very picky and
today will not take treats from my hand - they sniff my hand and squint,
walk away, I drop the treat and they run back to get it. I had another
mouse who did that and she never changed. sigh.
Admittedly I don't have very good patience and I guess I need to just pull
up a chair and hold my hand in the cage for a while and let them decide on
their own. When I take them out for the cage cleaning they run like mad,
although I've never heard any noises from them. I wouldn't say they exactly
SIT in my hand (more like crawl around trying to find a way off my hand) but
the encouraging thing is they've never bitten me so maybe there is a chance.
Good to see someone else is reading this group!
