My wife routinely calls the outside cats when she's putting the food out for
them. Naturally, she calls them, "Kitty-Kitty", in the usual falsetto folks use
for talking to small critters.
When my wife told me that the mockingbird has now begun to call the cats too,
"Kitty-Kitty", I took that with a grain of salt. Later on, I was there and
witnessed her calling the cats, and the bird echoing her.
I wish I could say it is one of my catbirds doing it, but those guys mumble
while the mockingbird hollers loudly. He does it nearly every time she calls,
and at odd times in between.
Thought you folks would be amused.

Sounds like something the local TV news might find interesting. One
of those "human interest" stories.
