My "little ray of sunshine" has lost his battle with the pasturella
related illnesses he has endured since 6 months old. He was 7 years 7
months old and fought one hell of a battle with this horrible illness
over the years. He began failing about 2 weeks ago and these last few
days he began to have organ failure. I ran him to see Dr. Nichols
quite a few times and he said there was nothing more we could do and
hope with the meds I was giving, that he would turn the corner and
begin eating, pooping and peeing. I syringed the foods in but that's
where it ended. Tiny microscopic poops and no pee day after day. He
cried when I came in to get him the last 2 days for feeding. My heart
just broke as I cried the whole time. Need I spell out the rest. He
didn't have a quality of life any more and I had to make that
heartwrenching decision. Thank god, Robin my bunny sitter was told I
was on my way in, and she met me outside and we cried and held Mocha
together. She stayed with me the whole time and took it as hard as I
am. My whole life has centered around Mocha since his Christmas
episode when I thought I was going to lose him. I feel so lost even
though I still have Eugene to love. My tears won't stop and my heart
won't quit aching for him.

I held him the whole time until Dr. Nichols pronounced him. I'm
having Mocha creamated and some of his ashes will be placed into
something called a Spirit Weight which is made to remember our special
furkids. It's made by Marc S. Boutte'Glass in Washington. They are
beautiful and can be inscribed.

Hug your furkids, we have them for such a short time.

Rhonda and Eugene (Angel bunnies Fuzzy and Mocha 5/21/04)

We were so very sorry to read that Mocha has crossed The Bridge. Even
though it's the right decision to make, it doesn't make it any easier. We
will light our special candle tonight in his honor and all the wonderful
memories he left.

Rest in Peace Mocha.

Sigh,

Yet another of our beautiful buns has become a rabbit angel. I am so very sorry
that it was time to send him over the bridge, and very sorry that he didn't
pass gently on his own.

I will light a candle to help him find his way across the bridge.

Oh Rhonda.
I am so sad for your loss of Mocha. I will keep
Mochas stories in my heart, and give my boys some
extra attention. I have lit a candle in my circle
of friends for you.

It all seems so sudden.
Please accept all our love.

Oh, Rhonda, I'm so sorry.

I lost my old man Tucker just a week ago now, and my heart is still
sore over it

*hugs*

Oh Rhonda, I am so sorry to hear of Mocha's passing to the Rainbow Bridge. I
am sure he will have a wonderful time there, free of his awful illness, and
will be watching over you.

Hugs and nose scritches for yourself and Eugene

Rhonda

Ellie and I have lit a candle at Gratefulness.org for Mocha. I was
shocked to read of your loss. Mocha will be munching tender blades of
grass at the APR part of the Bridge, under the watchful eye of all the
APR buns, including my own little Jar Jar.

Love

Oh Rhonda,

I can't tell you how sad I am right this moment....your post is
heartbreaking....I am SO very sorry to read that little Mocha is no longer
with you..
I wish I had some words of comfort for you, all I can tell you is to try and
take some strength from your loved ones, family, friends, and of course
Eugene...!
You really gave him all your love, devotion, and the best care, it was time
for him to go now....

Sincerely,

Oh no...
:(
I am so incredibly sad to hear Mocha passed away.
My heart goes out to you Rhonda, you must be absolutely
heartbroken and devastated - oh what a brave little guy.
We'll light a candle and say a prayer for his precious soul
and pray you may find comfort in the memory of his beautiful life.
Big virtual hug to you and Eugene
