Hello,

I am looking for a female Pug dog.

OK Hard to say it, but I just lost my little girl of 3 years! I love
animals, I currently have 3 other dogs in my family, but the little pug (
Missy) was my girl. She followed me everywhere, slept with me, and was a
complete companion. I also have a 1 1/2 year old German Shepard who just
lays around now not knowing what to do. He loved to play with her.

So I sound pathetic, but I'm looking for a puppy or a Pug that needs love.
I't is so hard to find one. I don't just want to look in the paper. I have
so much to give. Wow, I'm going to start crying again.

Can anyone help! I live in Central Illinois

PS, I took her for an autopsy today. I had no idea what happened to her.
No signs of physical damage on her body. I found out she had her lungs full
of blood and here internal organs were bruised and bleeding. SPEEDING
CARS. I have lived in the country for 11 years and with 5 dogs have never
lost on to the road. People have started moving around the area, and they
pay no attention to speed.

Makes me want to lay out nails, sit with bebe gun to shoot out tires, put up
signs something!!

I'm just devastated! I will make absolute sure none of my other pets travel
to the front of my 5 1/2 acre yard!

Pss Sorry for rambling!

i know you're upset, but i seriously hope this statement was just you
venting. please don't lay out nails in the road. i have a friend who was
seriously injured when he ran over someone's home made "speed trap" on his
motorcycle. he was obeying the speed limit and on his way home, when both
tires blew out. now he has several screws holding his leg together, and is
in constant pain.

no matter how badly you feel, you don't want to hurt an innocent person with
your "revenge". it will only make you feel worse.

A better, and far more legal, way of keeping dogs from being hit by cars
is to keep the dogs from encountering moving vehicles. This usually
means a containment mechanism of some kind (fence, tieout, training,
whatever) to separate the dog(s) from the road.

It should suffice to prevent another tragedy no matter how fast the
vehicles zoom by.

Hello,

I live in the country, lots of room. I have 5 dogs. Three mixed
breed
dogs. The old lady, Lindsey is 14 years old, no problem. Three
under 15
pounds, Pug, Yorky Poodle Mix, and Shitzu Mix.

My problem is my boy. Auron, a 1 ½ year old German Shepard. . My
son got
him about 1 ½ years ago. He paid allot for him. The dog's father
is a
police dog in the Chicago area and Mother a show dog. Anyway he
has become
mine. I love him to death with the rest, but he is so very
protective.

I took him to obedience school, and he did well. The only problem
I have is
that he hates men. He will not obey when I tell him not to bark
and all is
OK, he wants to bite and.... He always listens to all my commands
but this!
Any suggestions?

I have talked to the trainer in the past, and he said if I wanted
protection, not to discipline him, but.. The only reason I'm
asking here is
the $25.00 per hour I have to pay the trainer.

Anyway, just curious, because I have never had such a protective
and
attentive dog! He has to be with me everywhere! Even when I go
to the
bathroom

I would like to also mention, he is not around people much. If I
have
someone coming over that is not female, I put him up.

Help

Thanks NancyMessage 2 in thread

I don't now whether Peach is dead or alive. I do know she's
not here with us. I really can't blame anyone here for her loss.

I'm the one who ignored your advice. I did it because of how you
write/wrote. I was unwilling to accept the idea that my using a
shock collar could have any bearing on Peach not wanting to stay
home. Up until I started using it my main concern had been keeping
my dogs in their own yard.

Once I started using the e-fence... well, then my concern
became how to keep them from running off for days on end.

I lost valuable training time becoming embroiled in the anti-
shock debate and the "Jerry sux" tirades.

I lost one dog but I have the bestest dog in the world now
<g A Wits End Trained dog, one who is completely housetrained,
doesn't chew up stuff, stays in the yard, and doesn't bark all
the time. IOW a great companion and friend.

Thanks Jerry!
