white fuzz - I've just been looking at the puregold website for a One of my fish has white fuzz on the tail fins, at the top, near the body. (guess who) He's also flashing a fair bit, there might be some of this fuzz tho slightly finer on his body, I did..

white spot - Can I use a white spot (ich) treatment in water that's had aquarium salt added or should I change the water first? did water change yesterday and its fine (nil ammonia, nil nitrites 7 ph etc) but added salt to it. Fish weren't showing signs of ich then,

Single White Spot - My 6" goldfish has developed a single white spot (about 2mm diameter) on his nose. Initially it appeared as if the skin on the spot was flaking away and after treatment with anti fungus / finrot the affected area seemed to improve, but now it's..

Moor with white patch - My Moor has developed a white patch on his 'chin' area. It is like somebody has runned the colour away. The texture of the skin looks okay. I cannot see any lumps or bumps. Has anybody ever heard of this and if so what it it? Thanks

Hi and thanks in advance.

Have a 5.5 gallon freshwater tank with one three-inch fish and lots of
plants. Sponge filter. The fish is not being overfed (it gets 4
small feedings a day, and eats it all).

The plants are finally starting to take over, reducing the algae
population, but I am noticing tiny, really tiny, creatures in the
water. Some are swimming around, and seem to congregate near the
strongest light. Others seem attached to the back glass, which I do
not clean.

The water is changed 20% a week. The side and front glass are kept
clean. So is the gravel.

Any ideas what I am looking at here? They do not seem to be bothering
the fish, and I assume they are eating the algae. They are so small
that I cannot tell what they actually look like.

Thanks again.

The two most common "small things" I find in my tanks are gammarus and
ostracods. From the size description, I'd guess ostracods for your
animals. Harmless.
