Just got back from Idaho and California meeting my grandchildren.
It_was_great_!
Anyway,I've spoken about Carmine the labX before in his uncanny love for
water as well as his willingness to be preened by his geese.
I'm guessing that Carmine's other part is Rott, given his ears and his
tail, especially the way he walks.I call it his "John Wayne" walk, kind of
stiffer back legs than what I'd expect to see in a Lab.
He's roughly 60# or so and 2 years old.
So I thought I'd see what you all think he's mixed with. My
step-daughter was told he was part Flat Coat, but I don't see it as much
as I see Rott in there.
He's not got much of a bark, and I couldn't get a good picture of his
back hair, but it's rather wavy and a tad bit longer than either a
typical Rott or Lab.
Opinions on Carmine's heritage anyone?
Carmine is an AWESOME dog.He wouldn't dream of taking anything,
including *his* treats, off a table without being offered one first. You
can even put your tortilla chicken casserole down in front of his nose
and leave the room, knowing it's going to be there when you return.Very
un-Lab-like. And the biggest surprise is, he's always been like this
naturally without any real training.
