Marley and me

I read one of the posts here where someone recommended the above book to
someone considering a labrador as a pet.
I promptly ordered it from amazon, and it arrived yesterday. I'm nearly
finished with it! I can not put it down! it's a BEAUTIFULLY written book!!!!
SO many parallels between my Sammy and Marley except for the destructive
parts. In fact, when we went to get Sammy from the breeder, we had the
exact same experience with the father being a scary lunatic that the
breeders had all-but-hidden from us =) and when we got wise to what our
little innocent puppy was progressing into (a giant, formidable yellow
tornado) we remembered that leaping lunatic that I was afraid of at the
time! now my Sammy's just the same!
Also, Marley's dad's name was Sammy too!
Also my dog has a penchant for mangoes, cramming himself under the bed where
no dog that size should fit!, leaping through the air and launching at
people, impossible exuberance and insatiable appetite for fun... it's just
SUCH a great book, it really captures the essence so I just wanted to
emphasise it again =)
