This is a 12-year-old, totally indoor cat, that was neutered long ago.
The behavior began perhaps 6 months ago, and we can't figure out what's
going on. It's mostly during the night, but occasionally during the day.
We also have a female, slightly older, that has been a part of the family
since before he came to us as a kitten. They've never gotten along, but
over the past few years he's become aggressive to her.
We do have neighbor cats that come around, but that has slacked off quite a
bit and we only rarely see them.
We're using Feliway and that seemed to help for several weeks, but no longer
seems to make any difference.
The vet has done several very thorough exams, including blood work, and he
checks as completely healthy.
I'd sum it up by saying he seems 'restless and discontent' - we just can't
get him calmed down. Anyone faced a similar situation, and if so, do you
have any thoughts on how to make it better. Thanks....
