I recently bought the Magnum 350 Pro Filter. I had nothing but problems
setting it up and the rather vague directions that were provided didn't
help.

Even after I put the gaskets on the tubing the filter leaked like a
sieve. Even though the idea behind the filter is good, with all the
problems that I had with it, I'll never get another one.

Oh well...The adapter that came with the filter to connect it to an
undergravel filter is allowing me to connect my old Hot Magnum filter
to my undergravel filter. At least I got something out of all this.

Unlike you and Billy (1st followup) I had absolutely no problems
setting it up. I took my time, and followed the directions closely
and slowly. The only time I have had a leak was after a filter
cleaning when I did put the big O-Ring on wrong. That was quickly
noted and corrected.

OTOH... The Magnum H.O.T. has been a pain... instead of a round shape
it is a D shape, and since it sits on the rear of the tank it is more
difficult to get to. The issues with that is convenience.... harder
to get to.
