I would try to "locate" Robin Nuttal on this very newsgroup. She works
with Dobes and may be able to give you info on how to locate a
*responsible* breeder. By far it is more important to find a breeder who
is careful and painstaking about breeding than it is to find one nearby.

With american bloodlines, no championships in family history needed. I just
want a calm and nice temperment. I don't need anything special. It doesn't
even have to be akc registered. But I don't want a pure bred.

Thank You.

With the criteria you are looking for, I would certainly go through
Dobe rescue. There are many dogs that fit the needs
you requested needing homes. Even pups as young
as 6-9 months come in often enough. There are way
too many dogs unwanted dogs in the world.

Please consider Dobe rescue.

Find a doberman rescue in your area. Go to www.dpca.org and find the
COPE rescue site. That will direct you. I'm sure you can find what you want.
