Hi Mary

Are you sure the degu ate the other degu. I had a similar experience a few
years ago but it was with a pair of my rats not degus although I have owned
degus in the past. I got up one morning and went to check on Tia and Maria
to find that Tia had died some how during the night and Maria had decided to
eat her. I was absolutly livid but found out that the reason they do it is
because if the dead rodent whatever sticks about it can be an invite to
predatoes into it's quarters so it's better to kind of hide the body so to
speak.
