I have two adorable bunnies....

Wilbur - Who is name have the character in Charlottes web...
Because he talks alot...

Moo Shoo - My wife thought this was Pork. in chinese but it seems it
means Cabbage (Because she was a little porky bunny)

Looking for some ideas on an exercise pen to either block part of a
room off or go around the room starting on one side of their cage and
ending on the other one..

I was at PetSmart and saw a Dog exercise pen that looked like it fit
the bill.

2' high 16' long and made of steel... $70.00

Little more than I wanted to spend... Hoping their might be a cheaper
route..

Not against building something as long as it doesn't look too tacky..
(Gotta keep the wife happy)

Thanks

Dave

sams club/walmart has these crate things you conect with conectors (they
look nice) we have our bunnies condo built from them, but you can make a pen
with them also, or pretty much anything else, i seen someone on the web who
has pics of them i will look for it and post the link

Ollie has part of the basement where his cage is we use a table and
wood shelves to block him from getting out i also have to put my bean
bag on top of the couch so my dog doesnt jump over the top and attack
Ollie i use whatever i can find lying around to keep him busy this is
ollies web page www.geocities.com/lopears_ollie here you will see my
attempts for creative entertainment for Ollie and attempts to create a
suitable gate to keep Ollie in and Ben out.

Random,

The link to the movies doesn't seem to work on your web page....

Was really looking forward to viewing it..

My wife loved the picture of the bunny on the stool staring at the
water bottle... :)

Thanks for all the input...

I was thinking about the Neat cube idea...

Couldn't remember where to get them...

not all walmarts carry them, but I saw it a few different colors on
their website..

So I can take the product number into a store and hopefully they can
find some..

If not I will order a couple....

Sure beats paying the $70.00 for the pen....

Probably go 2 high.. Afraid if I just use one the bunnies might try
to jump it...

Bunnies will be Bunnies... :)

Thanks

I had a carpenter make four foot high, (Miniature) swinging bar doors
for the kitchen. My boys stay there during the day. I can go in and
out, but they can't get enough push on the kitchen floor to open them.

Target carries the NIC cubes as well. We use zip ties to connect them. Of
course we discovered the NICs AFTER we invested in the $70 dog pen! ;-) I
still use THAT outside when I have Rosie (who molts about 1x per month!) out
for her monthly plucking...

We used the cubes from Wal-Mart, check the shelving dept. I don't really
remember for sure what we paid for the Neat Idea Cubes I think it was around
$15 or $20. They come with connecters, but we used wire zip ties they are
more flexible for areas that are not straight. We also used them to build a
cage. Can send you a picture if you like just let me know.

kids toy boxes for their stuff, they are nice for a lot of things, i just
could not remember the name of them.

Sorry I didn't mean to send that to your private address. Hit the wrong
button.

I know. We needed a narrow cage as we are limited in space and the only
place we could really put a cage was the hallway. It is only 1 cube in
width, but it is 4 long and 4 stories high. Works out great for the smaller
buns. Don't need ramps or anything. It sounds a little confining, but
they are only locked in at night or when we are not home.

We use the plastic ties too. I just thought they were called wire ties
because that is what my husband uses to ties wires together lol.

Yeah I know what you mean, you know when we first got Nicky (bunny's name,
my son named her after me) a friend of mine got another one of the babies
from my sons' teacher and before I got a chance to tell her about them, she
went and got a cage from the pet store, it's maybe a quarter the size of
nicks and she paid either close to or over 100$, which is why we used them
because I felt to bad putting her in one of those cages sold at the
petstore, even if she don't spend a lot of time there, I still wanted it to
be hers and she loves it, on the top floor we have a look out, just one
square in size but she likes going up and looking around.

i bought a children's exercise pen at kids-r-us. it was approximately $15
cheaper than the one at petsmart. it's made of heavy pvc and it folds into
a section approximately 2 feet by 2 1/2 feet (i think!) anyway, it works
well because you can shape it to your needs and it's washable (which i
like).
