Did you know that home depot allows you to bring your dog into the store as
long as they stay in the cart?

Has anyone ever tried this with a lab or mix ?

Chloe loves going on car outtings with us - but unfortunately there are so
few "pet friendly" stores. Sometimes I wish I could get my hands on a
"guide dog in training" apron just to have an excuse to let Chloe come with
me shopping more often. She really is good when we are out and she loves
it so much.

Um, yes. Home Depot was Caitlin's first store... She started visiting
the outdoor garden area as a pup, and we eventually discovered that she was
allowed in the store, as well. But, not in a cart...

I'm finding more and more pet-friendly stores and just take her in unless
there's a sign that says not to. So far, so good.......... }:-)

I can see all of you trying to squeeze your 80 pound labs in the cart:-)

well, chloe is only 55lbs, and she's not quite a lab either. But she has
the face and the ears. :)

I saw a Lab in the local Home Depot store last week, it is so crowded in
there I would be afraid someones toes would get stepped on.

On my daily walks with my dog we pass an upscale type stereo store.
Sometimes when they see us coming up the sidewalk someone will hold the door
open and invite us in. I usually say I am just out for a walk, one day I
asked if my dog was really allowed in the store and the manager said no
problem. If we ever by a large screen TV we will buy it at that store.

Well, Old Navy, believe it or not, is also dog-friendly. They don't sell
anything remotely food-like, and they do sell dog accessories. They dont
advertise it, but they do allow dogs in the store. I dont know if anybody
remembers when they used to have Magic the Old Navy mascot dog, but the
store used to have a Magic mannequin that sat on a rotating display, and
Charlie showed absolutely no interest in Magic except in the 2 seconds that
Magic's rotation brought her closest to Charlie. Then he wanted to sniff
that strange dog that wouldnt come and play....

Amy, Jim, Charlie & Holly
P.S. Charlie loves bandannas, and owns a few from Old Navy. Holly, on the
other hand, will chew the knot until it comes untied and then leaves her
bandanna somewhere in the house....guess she likes to be naked...

Do you know if that is just for the Home Depot in your area or is that
everywhere. I am having the same problem trying to find places to take
my baby.....
