Hey Folks,

I am just putting this out there, please don't lambaste me for this,
its the best option I have and more fair to Jackson.

Here is the deal, Molly and Jack are bonded and I love them dearly. I
am however being reasonable in knowing that Jack will be devastated
when Molly passes and well I just know its going to happen in the next
year, if from nothing else, than sweet pure old age. They are the last
in a line of 6 rabbits, Mr Bunny, Midget, Heather and a stray I
couldn't save.

As such, I don't want him to be lonely but I don't want him going to
just "anyone", at worst, he will be a lonely bunny because if I am
not able to find the right person, I won't give him up. But if I can
find him the right home, already bunnified home, then I can sacrifice
my life with him for one that would be better for him.

I realize we are all struggling and times are hard. I totally
understand and respect that. Its hard enough to afford my pet care but
beyond that, there are deeper issues to this. As some of you know, I
am really starting to have more trouble with my asthma and have done
just about everything I can to make it better for myself. I also live
in a very tiny house, and there simply is no question that my
breathing would be better with less pets, no matter how loved they
are.

But...at the heart of it all, I don't want Jack to be an only bun and
while I can't replace Molly, I know that he would bond well with
anybun and anyone but whoever that person is, I need to know that I
can get regular updates and if possible, visit him from time to time.

Ideally, and I recognize this is bold, I would prefer it to be one of
the APR people- since most of us have the same respect and love for
our pets.

As can be expected, this is not an easy email to put out there for the
world to see and judge, therefore I realize and accept I am probably
opening myself up to criticisms, its a risk worth taking if it gains
me a perfect forever home.

Please bear in mind, I don't want to get rid of him, he is my baby,
I;ve had him since he was three weeks old inside a sippy cup in my
hand. But I don't want to see him lonely, and I don't believe he would
adjust well to not having constant companionship after 8 years of it.

If anyone is interested, email me directly and we can talk, mind you
this is not something I want to do until after Molly has passed on,
and I can provide you with many exercise pens, cages, beds and foods.

With respect,

Marie

You would have a greater chance of finding someone if you would
specify the state/country where you are located.

That is totally kind of you to offer and I really really really
appreciate it! I think at some point, I am definitely more than
willing to bring him to the person in question. Right now, he's
ripping up a paper bag and giving it what for.

:)
