Post subject: Hobo spider identification help
Archived from groups: alt>pets>arachnids (more info?)

I've found two spiders that I think are male hobo spiders. I've looked at a
lot of online sites, many of which tell you how to identify the spider. The
few sites that show a pic of the sternum show it to be yellow/brown/gold
with a light stripe running down the middle. The ones I've found were black,
with a reddish-gold strip that only goes halfway down the sternum. The palps
were the shape and size common to a male hobo.

Does anyone have any experience with the male hobo and can comment on what
the sternum should look like?
