Jeanne lied. Remember this?
[I don't accuse or act against someone unless I've got
some proof to go on. Take that episode with Sue, for
example. I attacked her because of the evidence I saw
for myself in the form of proper documented evidence
supplied by Jeanne Hinds. But, as it turned out in the
end, I was probably quite wrong to attack her because
Jeanne had in fact lied at least twice. Here's a comment
I once made to Donna about it all.
"I've taken a few pops at her in the past over a web article
written about her and a humane officer friend of hers called
Shirley Beard by Jeanne Hinds. A child told Shirley,
"grandpa makes me do dirty things" and as expected she
contacted the child services straight away. A row erupted
as Sue defended Shirley's right to take this kind of action
when faced with cases like these and that she in fact had
a legal duty to act in the way she did. In hindsight I think
Sue was right to defend this point and quoted a section from
the Ohio revised code which gives humane officers like Beard
the right to even remove children, but only under the guidance
and request of the childrens' services. Jeanne was adamant
Shirely had acted wrongly, and so was I, but I soon dropped
my attack on Sue when it became apparent that Jeanne never
contacted the Ohio dept. to learn of their revised code, and
it also seemed to me that Jeanne indeed lied by claiming Sue
had told people that Jeanne had been charged for stalking her.
I searched the archives for hours for such a claim from Sue
and couldn't find one. Sue did say she had grounds for filing
a complaint against Jeanne, but she never did so. Jeanne
even produced a letter from Bill Schneck dated December 99
stating, "This letter will serve as confirmation from this office
that Jeanne Hinds has not been charged, nor under investigation,
in this county for any criminal activity during the past several
years" to make it look as if Sue had lied about filing a complaint
when in reality she didn't file one anyway. I got suspicious after
that and even thought about challenging Jeanne myself over it
but I decided against it thinking I'd never get to the bottom of an
affair that wasn't even mine to begin with."
