I agree with Jessica's advice ... most Bunnies don't really like to be
picked up. Mine will "tolerate" being held for a short period of time,
but can't wait to get down and will bolt as soon as they get a chance.
I would love it if they were more cuddly, but I try to appreciate
their feelings too. You may have to accept "love" on the bunny's
terms. I'm sure she loves you, but just in her own way. Mine will sit
on my lap as long as I am giving treats, but once the treats are gone
.... Bunny is off and running again. Try to love your rabbit for who
she is. Good Luck and Welcome to APR.

check out
www.rabbit.org for info on rabbit behavior. many rabbits
don't
like to be held, but even a bunny that doesn't like to be held can
still be
loving. My Pete did not like to be held or petted much but she loved
to
have the people play with her. If we were down on the floor at her
level we
could roll a ball around for her play "games" of stack up the plastic
laundry soap caps and bunny knocks them down and such things. Gryffin
isn't
much for being held and loved either, but is happy to lie down next to
me on
the floor for some pets or to hop up onto the sofa with me for some
love.
You can't always have it the way that you want it to be with a rabbit,
but
if you understand them (at least to some degree don't need the UHF
after me)
you can figure out haw to have a fun relationship with them.
