Post subject: Help with Cichlids

I noticed tonight that my male cichlid is nipping at my female cichlid and
her fins and some scales are off of her body. Any suggestions on what to do
for her and how to make the male leave her alone?

how big is your tank??
what type of cichlids??

they may be trying/starting to spawn
try rearranging your tank
