My Sarasa Comet, Hoshi, is possibly sick:

Bulging eyes, constipation, and odd looking poop

Water parameters:
Ammonia: 0 ppm
Nitrite: 1 ppm
Nitrate: 20 ppm
pH: 8
dKH: 5
dGH: 11

So far, my treatment has been a very substantial water change (effectively
90+ percent), Amquel plus to detox the nitrites, and Salt at 0.3% (1 Tbs per
gallon).

I'm wondering if we should bring the new fish out of quarantine early so I
can move Hoshi to the hospital for tub to tub?

Since posting that, partly in response to requests made elsewhere, I moved
Hoshi to a 3.2 gal bucket (tonight, I'll move him to a 10 gal tub). With
the three containers, I should be able to do a "round robin" kind of deal
and finish the new fish's quarantine, while doing tub-to-tub on Hoshi.

I also started him on the Medi-gold this morning. He still has good
appetite so that augers well for his prospects.
