Well, looks like my bunny Bailey may have head tilt.It just came on out of
nowhere last night. He's sitting weird with one ear up one down and his head
tilted. It also seems like he's favoring one side of his mouth. So I don't
really know what the problem is.He's going to the vet in about an hour, wish
us luck.
On that same note,I have to vent about the lack of vets in my area with
rabbit knowledge.I'm in St.John's Newfoundland and I have yet to see a
doctor that knows more than the basics about them.Like one place I
called, there are not alot to choose from anyway. But this place said they
have two doctors on right now,one doing appts and the other in surgery. The
only one knowing anything about rabbits was the one in surgery!Seems like
every vet hospital is geared to cats & dogs.
Well, anyway wish us luck at the vet today!

Bailey seems to be a bit better after just one dose of his meds, which is
Chlor Palm by the way.His head is not tilting as much and he seems more
comfortable in his cage. He'll get another dose in a couple of hours.

Hi Leona,

Glad you've got some antibiotics for him, and have found the cause of
the tilt! That is half the battle...

Hope he's upright soon and back to normal.

Take care,

Rhonda
