On 28/5/2004 - 12:44 David Harrison, well know friend of Jonathan Ball,
posted a direct and irrefutable lie to Usenet. (tpa)
His lie, related to terrorism directly accused ARAs of sending a letter bomb
which seriously injured an employee of an estate agent in the York (UK)
area.
His message was related to an incident on January 5, 2001.
>[ Livestock auction estate agents in East Yorkshire are attacked by letter
> bomb. One female staff member sustained serious eye injuries from the
> explosion.]
The archives of the local newspaper "The Yorkshire Evening Press" read as
follows:Archive | 20
First published on Friday 05 January 2001:
Nail bomb threat to farmers
by Tony Tierney
[The latest bomb follows an incident in nearby Masham where a similar device
was sent to an agricultural firm.
This device, received on Friday, December 15, did not go off and was dealt
with by military bomb disposal experts. The bomb, like today's, contained
carpet tacks, and police said both devices had been in padded bags. They do
not know at this stage where either device was posted.
Nobody has claimed responsibility for either device and police said they are
**not looking at animal rights and GM foods issues** as motives behind the
attacks.]
This report is cut and pasted - the asterisks are mine.
The report was a "follow up" related to a later similar incident in which a
farmer sustained a minor abrasion. Harrison also stated that the farmer
sustained serious injury. This was also a lie.
In neither case were ARAs accused of any participation in these vile
incidents which could have resulted in serious injury or death.
These LIES were pointed out to David Harrison, he stated- "I don't believe
you"
Fair enough David, but do you believe the reports of "The Yorkshire Evening
Press"?
Pity for you David that these incidents occurred close to my home, otherwise
you may have "got away with it".
