Sorry to post Yet Another Hamster Obit (YAHO), but my wonderful female
syrian Ham*Star passed away early this morning.

She was a grey and white "dalmation" type and won the San Diego Petco
Hamster Derby in March of this year. She had slowed dramatically the past
couple of months and spent most of her time sleeping rather than running in
her ball, which she used to love.

I came back from Thanksgiving weekend and noticed she was in her house,
shaking and unable to move much. All I could do was keep her warm in my
hand for the next few hours, then I cleaned out her house and put fresh
Carefresh in so she would be comfortable. When I awoke early this morning
she had passed. She was 1 yr 7 mo.

She was a wonderful little creature and always greeted me by poking her head
out of her house when I came home. I and everyone who knew her will miss
her very much.

I'm so sorry to hear your little Star has burned out.
As long as she is in your thoughts she will still thrive.
Please accept my sympathies for your loss.

So very sorry to hear of her passing, she was a wonderful friend the way you
