HLS FIDDLE THE BOOKS.
Research company Huntingdon Life Sciences has been granted an extra three
months to submit its accounts to Companies House, as it attempts to protect
its auditors from protestors.

The company, a target for animal rights groups due to its reputation for
animal experiments, was due to hand in its UK accounts for the 12 months to
31 December 2003 at the end of last month. The accounts will reveal which
firm audited the accounts.
Following an application for a delay lodged with Companies House, it now has
until 31 January 2005 to fulfil its reporting obligations.
A spokesman for Companies House, while unable to elaborate on the reasons
for the delay, said requests for an extension were not uncommon and that 'as
long as the extension is asked for before the original deadline, then it is
usually granted'.
The lab's US parent, Life Sciences Research, used similar delaying tactics
when filing with the SEC and managed to conceal its auditor, listed as Hugh
Scott PC. Protest groups were unable to locate the firm.
Last year, former auditor Deloitte severed professional relations with
Huntingdon after an intense two-week protest campaign conducted by Stop
Huntingdon Animal Cruelty and the Animal Liberation Front.

I wonder if I could get away with sending in my accounts late?
These bastards should be fined for late submission, I am!
BTW. I have received two warnings from BT for crossposting, some kind person
reported me.
Well, stuff you and stuff BT. ISPs - like net nannies are ten a penny.
