I live in the building on the 4th floor and can't get rid of the pigeons.
When I go to work, I leave the windows open, if the weather is ok. When I
come back, I see their nest half way built (on the floor in my living
room!!).
I do not want to be violent, and don't want to pay for devices.
Is there any home made stuff or way to get rid of them?

Thanks a lot!!

At work they use a discreet frame covered in a fine 2" square mesh, about a
foot high. This is affixed to the outside of the window frame sitting on the
window ledge. Then you simply open the window stopping just below the top
of the frame.

This wont stop feathers blowing in however. To stop them roosting on the
window ledge you can buy a strip of 4" ( approx) spikes - I've seen them
arranged in a box with plants to disguise. It will stop the majority
although a really broody hen will probably manage to build a nest on top.
