Hey there,

My snake recently laid her first clutch (2-3 days ago) and I don't know if I
should be seriously concerned now, or if this is just the point where most
newbies panic... but I'd really like some advice. I'll take her to the
reptiles store in the morning (they're the local experts - the only response
I get from Vets around here is ' Oo - we don't see snakes very much'.

She's a 9 year old corn snake. After her first clutch (5 eggs) that the
reptile store - where we took them to incubate - commented on as 'big
muthaf***ing corn snake eggs!', she's still shown signs of being heavy w/ a
few more.

It's been 3 days and she's gone off-colour + her eyes have turned opaque as
though she's going to shed. At the same time, the 'lumps' of eggs she's
heavy with have gotten bigger and closer to the end of the tail.

It keeps looking like she's trying to drop them, but can't do it.

Is this a problem? Or should I just wait it out.

Thanks for your time.

If shes egg bound you will want to get her to a herp vet. your vet should be
able to determine if she is egg bound. This can be fatal if not taken care
of.
